Unflipping a Flipped-Over Truck and Trailer
An overturned truck is a significant safety hazard. You can’t just pop it back on its wheels and be on your way. Our operators arrived at the scene to find the truck completely on its side, with its container box spilling contents all over the road.
We could see that the mechanism connecting the box to the truck was twisted and damaged. The box was separating and needed to be removed in order to get both the truck and trailer upright and removed.
Once the box was disconnected, the equipment and vehicle could be uprighted one at a time. Then, the box trailer could be loaded onto a flatbed trailer for transport while the tractor was hooked up to a heavy-duty tow truck.

Unfortunately, this accident left a mess on the road. Motor vehicle fluids had leaked on the road due to damage to the truck and were quickly contained with absorbent granules. The contents of the box, which looked like scrap and construction debris, had spilled onto the road.
